Nesta 4ª semana do projeto iTEC estamos a contabilizar os sacos de lixo produzidos por cada familia nas suas casas. Temos estado a registar a contagem em fotografias ou em filmagens para nos ajudar na realização do nosso video, e iremos interpretar os dados recolhidos num gráfico circular. Para a próxima semana iremos tentar trabalhar um pouco no video. Temos tido alguns problemas com a realização das tarefas dentro dos prazos, mas estamos a gostar muito do projeto iTEC.
In this 4th week of iTEC project we are counting garbage bags produced by each family in their homes. We have been recording the counting in pictures or filming to help us in the realization of our video, and we will interpret the collected data in a pie chart. For the next week we will try to work a bit in the video. We had some problems with realization of the tasks on time, but we are really enjoying the iTEC project.

Projeto iTEC
Na aula de SAE do dia 4 de Abril, a professora de Matemática e a Professora de Ciências Naturais apresentaram á turma o projeto iTEC. O projeto tem como tema "Contar uma História" em que se pretende que construemos uma história em vídeo sobre um fenómeno ciêntifico relacionado com uma experiência pessoal, o tempo máximo que o video pode ter é 5 minutos e iremos fazer uma pesquisa planeada sobre a quantidade de lixo que é produzido nas nossas casas. O nosso grupo ainda não têm ideias de como poderemos fazer o video, mas iremos falar e planear como o iremos fazer.
Em Matemática estamos a estudar estatística e a estudar a interpretação de gráficos, e já temos alguns conceitos como:
Os Censos ou Recenseamento efetuam-se com todos os elementos da população.
A Sondagem efetua-se apenas com uma parte da população.
A Média: É o quoficiente entre a soma de todos os dados da amostra e o número de dados da amostra.
A Moda: É o valor ou categoria que ocorre com maior frequência. No caso de todos os dados ocorrerem com igual frequência, diz-se que não apresentam moda ou que o conjunto de dados é "amodal".
Em Ciências Naturais estamos a estudar a Gestão Sustentável dos Recursos.

In the SAE lesson on 4th April, the Math's teacher and the Sciences teacher presented to the class the iTEC project. The project's theme is "Tell a Story", where it is desired to make a story on video about a scientific phenomenon related to a personal experience, the maximum time that the video can have is 5 minutes and we'll make a planned search about the amount of waste that is produced in our homes. Our group has no ideas how we can make the video yet, but we'll talk and plan how we'll do it.
In Maths we are studying statistical and the interpretation of graphs, and we already have some concepts, like:
Census are made with all the elements of the population.
Polling is made only with a part of the population.
The average: It is the quotient of the sum of all sample data and the number of sample data.
The mode: Is the value or category that occurs most frequently. In case all data occur with equal frequency is said that has no mode.
In Sciences we are studying the Sustainable Management of Resources.
We're all excited about the iTEC project.
